Your travel insurance generally covers payment protection in the event of unexpected medical issues and storms.. But did you know that it doesn’t cover COVID-related cancellations of your plans? Unfortunately, this is true. Travel insurance providers did not consider COVID an unforeseen event that would warrant issuing a refund.
But now, in true style of the times, there is now COVID-specific travel insurance! According to Insurance and Finance Expert, Eric Nelson, the new travel insurance package will cover trip delay/cancellations, medical coverage if you contract COVID and trip cancellation due to unexpected job termination.
